Scott Sarafian is an Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge (ATSAIC) with 17 years of federal law enforcement experience. His career with the U.S. Secret Service has been focused equally on protective and investigative missions.

Mr. Sarafian began his Secret Service career working white-collar crime in the New York Field Office. He was later assigned to the Presidential Protective Division in Washington, D.C. Mr. Sarafian has held additional supervisory positions within the USSS’ Dignitary Protective Division as well as multiple criminal and protective supervisory positions in the New York Field Office.

Mr. Sarafian is currently assigned as the supervisor in charge of the Electronic Crimes Task Force (ECTF). As the supervisor of the ECTF, his responsibilities include oversight of all NYC based network intrusion and internet investigations and liaison with government, industry and academic partners. Additionally, Mr. Sarafian has oversight of the New York Field Office’s (NYFO) Critical Systems Protection Program (CSP) program in support of protective operations. The NYC ECTF is the largest task force in the U.S. Secret Service.

Sarafian was earned a B.A. from the University of Delaware and a M.A. from the John Jay School of Criminal Justice. In addition, he has completed the USSS’ cyber investigative training course as well as the NITRO (Network Intrusion Responder) course.
